5.1 Intended use. This handbook establishes guidelines for time periods for the expected shelf life of rubber products during storage. The information contained in this handbook is intended as a guide for use by those agencies whose responsibility is to place control requirements on rubber products, as well as those activities whose responsibility is to control the age of products stocked in federal government storage facilities.
